In this one minute video, Dr. Rollin McCraty (Science of the Heart) shows us how our heart is not just a biological organ but is connected to the bigger universe generating an electro magnetic field. This is very important research in my thinking because it shows us what many of us have suspected for a long time. We are transmitters not just receivers. This is a fundamental issue to me because it means that it is important what I am thinking and feeling to the others in my immediate vicinity.
Before today I had not heard the term “noetic” which I now understand means “requiring the use of our mind”. In my spiritual studies there is the “One Mind” (sometimes referred to by other names such as God, Allah, Mother Earth, Great White Spirit, etc) and “my mind” the personal access I have to that which is universal intelligence. I am a great believer that our “use of mind” is paramount to many aspects of our daily living and so when I saw this video by Dr. McCraty I immediately wanted to talk about it and share it with you.
What I really love about the work Dr. McCarty is doing is that he is measuring the heart and its impact outside the function of controlling blood flow in our body. It brings together the concept of heart and soul through scientific research. Here is why it is important to me. As I walk around in society I have the opportunity to interact with countless people in my day. Standing in line at the grocery store, waiting for my coffee, in my office or even just sitting outside enjoying the day. Each of these interactions offers me a choice to communicate with the universe and share a moment of bliss. I choose to radiate my love and generosity as much as possible. Not just because it makes me feel good (which it does) but because it builds a better world for others as well.
So today I go forth with new knowledge that my heart generates a powerful electro-magnetic field and that my thoughts and feelings are encoded into this field. I choose to radiate a loving laughing energy into the universe one person at a time. And in doing so I will automatically create a life I love to live.
