We can appear to be very different but in fact we are of one mind? There is a universal mind, presence or spirit (call it what you will) that unites us all. We all have access to the same wisdom. It is universal. How then do we appear to be so different?
It is the result of a duality (all life in the universe being the result of opposing forces) between alignment and individuation from the whole. Universal consciousness supplies a connection but we ourselves can disconnect from it. Think of it like unplugging your computer in your home. The power is still on but the computer is not plugged into it. The same is true for each of us. We can plug ourselves in or take ourselves offline from the universal power source I call “Universal Consciousness”.
So why would we do this? What is in it for us when we do? It allows us to search and discover for ourselves and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this choice. Making a choice of individual pursuit carries no consequences. The power does not shut off because we do not choose to use it and whenever we decide to plug-in it will be there. No judgement just pure source ready and waiting for us to connect whenever we choose to avail ourselves of it.
The important thing I try to remember is that some people may spend years, or even choose their lifetime, to stay “off the grid”. That is their choice. I personally would not recommend it but just like the electricity in your house does not demand you use it nor does universal conscious demand it of us. I try to stay out of judgement of those who “go it alone”. It is my role to choose not to judge.
I choose to connect to Universal Consciousness often. I like to feel deeply connected to the universe and my fellow travellers. I like exploring and I find that Universal Consciousness lets me do it in ways I cannot on my own. I see more to life when I look through the lens of the universe and see the miracle of life which surrounds me. I understand more, feel more peace, get more insight, learn more and enjoy life more. So if today you find yourself feeling “disconnected” remember that the power of the universe is still turned on and waiting for you and all you need to do is find a socket and plug-in.
