There are two possibilities in this photo. The man is running from something or he runs towards something. In fact the only thing required to change from one to the other is to set a clear intention.

It is impossible to think of nothing. That is not the state of the human brain. All the time our ego mind is working, focussing, analysing and even prostelitzing. Our ego wants to get the best of us. Our job is to be the driver and not the driven. Our spiritual self-image is the difference.

Here is an exercise that I have found beneficial to improving my spiritual self-image. I thought I would share it today in the hopes that others may enjoy it and thus support me on my journey. It is not necessary for others to join with me but I enjoy it, take comfort from it and am inspired by it.

I close my eyes. I see the image of my physical self at this moment in time as the perfect image of me. I can change any aspect until I feel it is the perfect image. Younger, slimmer, laughing, happy, athletic Brad. Whatever I want I do. It is a place of creation not a place of judgement. Sometimes I envision myself in a particular scenario, place or time of life of which I have a vivid memory. It does not really matter the circumstances, what matters is that I achieve this “perfect vision” of myself.

Now I begin a dialogue with the perfect vision of myself. He represents my perfect spiritual prototype. I tell him everything I want because he already knows it. I ask for forgiveness of anything that is troubling me. I ask his advice for next steps. I have a real meaningful and in depth conversation with him. He represents that part of myself manifest of the divine that is all knowing, all seeing, all forgiving and all powerful. He is the source of my inspiration. He is the source of my renewed commitment to my goals. I ask him for his support and he always says yes.

There is a perfect and divine being inside each of us. It is part of our destiny. We cannot be manifest on the earth with a perfect spiritual prototype of ourselves existing. We can use this energy anytime we want or need it. All that is required is that we ask and then receive. So today, please go inside and ask for the guidance that you want to live the life you love to have and it shall be provided.
