I love when something can be interpreted more than one way. It reminds me that always we have choice. The title today is really about closing not about nearness and yet because it is a familiar phrase most of us will have read nearness. Today I am talking about how to create comfort as we close any chapter in our life and move on.
I, for those who have heard me speak, often choose to make a word an acronym. The reason is simple. It helps me remember it. Today the word is “close” and the acronym is as follows:
C is for Celebration. We must always celebrate each chapter in our life. When something ends or comes to a close we need to create celebration.
L is for Love it, Leave it and Let it go. Part of closing anything is to in fact move beyond it into a new reality. When we release we allow space for what is to come.
O is to be Open to the new possibilities. Letting go creates an energy of movement. Nature abhors a vacuum. When we let go we must always be open for what flows in to fill the space that is created. With an open mind and and an open heart we will always find a treasure.
S is for Setting a clear intention. Along with being open we realize we must set the intention for what we are about to receive. We always have choice and because we are open does not stop us from creating with intention. In fact we are always creating with intention. We are not always aware of our intention and that is why it is important we set a clear intention.
E is for Everything. Embody, enjoy, express, experiment and experience. E is for the endless possibilities that exist in our life when we are comfortable with closing a chapter and moving effortlessly into our new changed reality.
I know there is change a coming and I am comfortable in the knowledge that I have the clarity to see it, the choice to embrace it and the commitment to grow as a result of it. As it is true for me, so is it true for all others.
