Where can I find the answers?

There is a source which provides all our answers. It is a central well of knowledge and wisdom and I offer here some proof, albeit not necessarily incontrovertible.

Did you know that the Egyptians were building pyramids at the same time as the ancient Britons were building Stonehenge and in fact there are amazing similarities even though it is nigh on impossible these two cultures ever intersected. How is this possible? I believe it is because we are all fed from the same well of knowledge and wisdom. The collective conscious knows together no different than the individual cells of our brains know together.

Just as we evolve similarly so is it true that all spiritual thoughts share common traits and wisdom. While sometimes I think I would like to escape religious thought (especially when I feel exhausted from fundamentalism – of any sort) I would equally hate to live in a world without religion. In fact I would go so far as to say there has always been and will always be religious thoughts for humans because in fact religion is just the easiest way for us to organize our collective beliefs around our values, ethics and morals.

That is not to say that we need religion or in fact that it is even necessary on an individual basis and almost certainly individual practices vary widely. We need the system for religion just like we need the system for law. In fact, religion often forms the basis of law even still today. But a system, be it law or religion, does not preclude us from making our own choices and decisions. And this is where the fun begins. Our spiritual journey usually begins after we have been taught a religion no different than we are taught laws. We are normally given a foundation by our parents and/or social/familial networks during our formative years. However, the basis is not necessarily our final answer, although undeniably our basis is an important filter for the rest of our developing thoughts and ideas on ideology. Our final answer, begins and ends with us.

So in answer to the question. The answers lie within each of us. The hidden meaning of life and our true spiritual desires are closer to us than our breath. I do not refer to  our ego. I refer to our centre. When we quiet our mind the truth reveals itself. Whether we choose music or silence to get quiet is also  our choice. I use both but the answers come from a quiet mind. The answers reveal as statements not questions. Often, for me, I can also read them and sometimes in the most unlikely place like an advertisement for a product or a newspaper headline. If you want to choose music as your conduit to a quiet mind then you can try some of the suggestions I have included on the music page.

So go within to discover what awaits you in the outside world. And please share with us some of your received wisdom as it is universal and hearing wisdom retold or repeated is always helpful I find. Namaste.
