On track for success…

Many times it occurs to me that I may have mislaid the track in my life that I presently am heading down. Sometimes it even feels like a steep track and that gravity is inevitably pulling me toward an unwanted destiny. This is wrong.

I am not the conductor. I am not the engineer. Because I have some wonderful, albeit scary news for you. There is no track, there is no engine. There is only myself in a field.

It is my choice where I step next. There cannot be a wrong direction to head in. Once I start to forge ahead nothing stops me from taking a step in a new direction. I think it is always a mistake to think of our lives as being “on course” or “off course”. It implies there is a correct way for us to head on our journey. The truth is much more flexible than a course or compass heading. The truth is that every step is the right step.

Sometimes in order to know who I am I chose to discover who I am not. This is often the fast track to success. If you want to know whether or not something is in harmony in your life then try it. If it does not resonate with you it will become apparent almost immediately. And after that your old friend “choice” will help you decide a new course of action. Here is a simple explanation of taking the next step:

S – is for set the intention

T – is for trying new things

E – is for evaluating not judging your experience

P – is for proving yourself right all the time

So I say approach life with total abandon and just keep taking steps. Because every step is a step in the right direction to create a life you will love to live.
