I am grateful to be alive…

Chair in FieldI am so very grateful for the life I have. Surrounded by the love of my husband, my family, my friends and even my colleagues I feel such a sense of peace on most of the days of my life.

The peace comes, I believe, from the celebration and gratitude I put out to others. When we truly recognize and celebrate others and appreciate their contribution to the world and our lives, it raises the cosmic vibration and our own lives will resonate in time with whatever rhythm we create.

Whenever I am feeling low I concentrate on going within and giving thanks for everything which is wonderful in my life. This is easier to do because I practice it each and every day. Then when things are less than ideal in my life I have a wealth of gratitude memories to draw upon.

Some people prefer to do what I have heard referred to as “gratitude journals” and they write down on a regular basis what they are grateful for, but I have always practiced gratitude more like a personal prayer said within. So for today I shall make a partial list of some of the things I am grateful for:

I am grateful for Pedro my husband. He is kind and thoughtful, funny and warm, intelligent and insightful. I am grateful for my Dad. He has provided me with the best foundation for living a good life. I am a better business person because my Dad taught me and talked to me about his own beliefs. I am grateful that my mother inspired me with a love of life and a sense of humour. I am grateful that my brothers have always been there for me and I have never felt truly alone, never in my life. I am grateful for the work I do now and also all the amazing opportunities for work I have enjoyed in my life. I am grateful for the GLBA Board of Directors one of the most inspiring teams I have ever worked with. I am grateful for the amazing and delicious food that is available to me each and every day and all the thousands of people who handle it so it arrives at my table. I am grateful to be able to provide for others, however and whenever I can, and support my entire extended family as I have always been supported by them. I am grateful to live in Canada, a country that is not just safe but also a nice place to live. And nice is the highest compliment I can give and also what most attracts me in people and indeed life.

So I shall end my partial gratitude journal, as I could go on and on, by telling you that I hope you truly have, a very nice day. Thank you for reading.
